Student can't access course content
The following are the most common reasons why a student may not be able to access course content:
Incompatible browser
Students must be using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox when accessing their Blackboard courses. Microsoft Edge is known to have issues when trying to open or load files within Blackboard.
Course item availability
Whenever an instructor uploads or creates an item within Blackboard they must make it available for students to access. It is possible that the instructor simply forgot to make the item “available”.
Student Responsibility Agreement
Student Responsibility Agreement(SRA) is an assessment in Blackboard that consist of 10 questions. Students must complete this assessment and answer “Yes” to all 10 questions before gaining access to their course material.
SRA only applies to OPS courses.
Adaptive Release
Adaptive release is a Blackboard feature where course materials are released based on if a student has satisfied a condition.
Ex: Week 1 Learning Activity is set to be released and available if the student received full credit on the SRA.
If a student has completed the SRA and but still cannot access the course’s weekly modules then it is very likely that the adaptive release settings were not properly set by the instructor. See above screenshot for correct settings.
