Faculty/Staff Password Reset

When a Staff/Faculty member calls needing their password reset:

  • Open the password reset portal 

  • Look up the Staff/Faculty member using their full name or last name

  • Confirm their identity by asking them to verify the last four digits of their social security number and their zip code.

Create a ticket using the Quick Request in ServicePRO

  • Select “Password Rest - Faculty/Staff” from the “Select Quick Request Template and then Select the following:

    • QUEUE: Customer Support

    • Category: Logon Account Support

    • Requester: The individual that needs the password reset

    • Title: Password Reset: Staff/Faculty Members Name

    • Priority: Medium

    • Memo: Fill out the itemized categories of the quick request chart.

    • If work has been completed, close the ticket.

    • If work is still required, please update the ticket and place in Customer Support.

If a Faculty/Staff account is disabled

  • DO NOT re-enabled the account until it is confirmed they still work at the university. 

  • If they need temporary access, speak to Sam for further instruction. Possibly have their department grant them temporary access.
